Great at securing objectives.
Good special for engaging or disengaging fights.
Largest health pool of any character (base and maxed health).
Outmatched by long ranged DPS characters like Colt and Rico.
Attack is maxed first due to Shelly’s main stay in battle being with her long ranged shotgun that can deal massive damage up close but still hit from a good distance for harass on the enemy team.
Health is taken next just so her average health of 800 can be bumped up to a more comfortable 1,000 hp to survive more often in enemy engagements or when taking an objective.
Super is taken last as it is gained back so quickly and mainly used for pushing the enemy away from Shelly or her teammates.
Strategies & tips
Her weapon shoots in a cone shaped pattern allowing for the pellets shot to spread out the farther they go. Try to get close to an enemy, usually a low health character, to land all your pellets and deal more damage onto them. A quick burst of two all contact shots can finish off a majority of Squishies and even some characters like Nita or other Shelly’s. If not in close engagements, harass the enemy with your range to quickly charge up Shelly’s special which is a very useful tool for battle.
Shelly’s Super ability is perfect at setting up for solo kills for pushing away an enemy too close for comfort like that pesky Bull that may be invading your back lines. Her special works just like her attack, being shot out in a cone radius, the more damage is dealt as more pellets land on an enemy. Her special does have a knockback that stuns the enemy and times out their Special ability momentarily. As a mini mechanic, her special can cancel other enemies special. (Everyone but Primo and Bull as they are technically invulnerable.) If a Colt or Barley starts using their Special, Shelly can knock them back and cancel their special.
Shelly can be used in multiple roles for S&B (Smash & Grab) from securing gems to denying area with her attacks range. If Shelly is securing gems, make sure you push the enemy back first so she does not take lethal damage taking a gem. If need be, her ult can push back an enemy momentarily so she has a moment to take a gem. If she is not securing gems, she can harass or even kill the enemy team so that her team has an opportunity to secure gems.
Showing out with Shelly’s quick burst of damage with her attack and utilization of her special, Showdown is an amazing field for Shelly. She can clear crates for stat boosts very quickly as maxed attack Shelly can clear a box in three full contact hits. Try to harass an enemy with her range and engage/finish off with her special. This tends to be the quickest method of killing. The most resourceful being engaging with Shelly’s special and then attacking so she can then quickly gain back her special again for later use just incase another enemy decides to make that 1v1 an unfair match up.
Just as Shelly excels in killing ability in showdown, she also does in bounty. Shelly’s quick burst of damage with her attack and utilization of her special are great for fights solo or with a team. Try to harass an enemy with her range and engage/finish off with her special. This tends to be the quickest method of killing. The most resourceful being engaging with Shelly’s special and then attacking so she can then quickly gain back her special again for later use. She can also use her special as a disengage using her knockback to prevent the enemy team from killing he (Or even a teammate).
Offense: On the offense, Shelly is great at breaking down walls (surrounding the safe) or taking out the defending team to get to the safe. Try to distract the enemy team making it a 1v2 so her team has an easier time getting to and dealing damage on the safe. Defense: On the defense, try to harass the offending team and push up on the map so they never have a chance at dealing damage to the safe. No one likes a Barely throwing his attack from over the wall while you have to go through thick and thin to get to him.
