Pros
Incredibly mobile, easily the best gem grabber in the game.
Can escape death very easily - Fairly long dash to catch low health enemies.
Lifesteal special to continue fighting.
Cons
Takes a while to kill anyone.
Dash cooldown is not amazing.
Not very tanky for a melee brawler.
Dash path is fairly thin and linear, can be dodged.

Health is necessary, as Mortis is a melee brawler.
Attack allows Mortis to assassinate enemy backline more easily, and even just the larger chunk of damage will help team to finish enemies or force them to retreat.
Strategies & tips
General strategies
Use high mobility to outmaneuver opponents, speed is Mortis' greatest asset.
Know your limits, with such a mobile brawler you may be tempted to dash in ahead of your team, but Brawl Stars is a game that requires a degree of cooperation.
Try to go through bushes and along flank sidelines, you should attempt to reach squishy enemy backline onto brawlers such as Colt, Ricochet, Brock, Jessie, and other low health far ranged targets.
Primary attack
Use dashes to dodge enemy attacks, if you can hit your dash and they miss damage this gives you a positive trade.
Do not use all your dashes instantly, if you use all 3 to engage you will not be able to escape quickly, and can cause your team to have to retreat as a result of your death.
Always make sure you are in reach of your team, they can help you get out of sticky situations provided that you have not used your normal attack to dash too far away.
Super ability
Try to use the super move on all 3 enemies for maximum damage and healing, this will swing a fight in your team's favor and can win an important objective for you.
If about to die, quickly use your super to heal yourself, a 1 man super that saves your life is more important than waiting for more targets and dying as a result.
Try to use the super move quickly, as it moves extremely fast and will catch enemies by surprise, if you wait the circle around your character will warn your enemies.
Mortis is not too strong in this game mode, but his mobility can be intimidating - Break boxes and hide early, do not use all 3 dashes too quickly, as you should save some to escape if a strong duelist approaches or you notice you are being sandwiched.
Allow others to fight each other as you amass boxes, Mortis is the fastest brawler so you can quickly go from box to box, but keep in mind he is not the fastest clear.
Try to quickly get the first star and retreat, a single star can sometimes be a game changer, but do not foolishly die just for the star, you will only achieve giving the enemy team two stars and leaving your teammates in a 2v3 until you return.
Go from sides to get a flank position, you may be able to assassinate an isolated target and escape with the stars, but be very careful to not hand over stars.
Wait for your team, a coordinated team will still be able to defeat a Mortis, even if you think you are invincible with your dashes
Force enemies to miss shots on you, this is protecting your teammates and it weakens the offensive potential of the enemy team, allowing for your team to win
Your super move can allow you to save yourself, invaluable if you would have been about to hand over 7 stars
Not the best mode for Mortis, but with such a strong normal attack Mortis can still succeed if played correctly.
Either offensively or defensively, open up opportunities for your team by forcing the enemy to miss shots, so your team can move in.
Offensively, if you can reach the safe you can keep dashing through it, giving you great damage, and forcing enemy misses; giving your team time to come in and also shoot the safe.
Defensively, Mortis can seek out long ranged snipers and take them out, lessening the enemy team's damage output and allowing your team to come out from behind cover.
